Don't just stay on snow, choose to stay with us at Valhalla, in lodge style Perisher accommodation that immerses you in the best of alpine living.
"My friend and I had a magical weekend at Valhalla. Food was great, other lodge guests great entertainment and location couldn't have been better. A one minute ski down to the lifts in the morning and beautiful views over Perisher Valley. We will definitely be back." - SarahQ August 17
Smaller than hotels, ski lodges typically have about 10 to 20 rooms. Guest rooms tend to be comfortable and simple. Unlike hotels, there are no televisions in the bedrooms, instead guests enjoy mingling in common areas and the camaraderie of a quiet drink after an active day, swapping stories and having a laugh over dinner. It is not usual for likeminded guests to arrange to meet up for a ski which works out well for those travelling together with mixed abilities.
"Excellent position easy ski down to the lifts. The staff are fantastic, attentive and very pleasant. The view from the front rooms is amazing. The warm and inviting feel of the place delivers a wonderful lodge experience. Definately worth a visit. I will be returning." Davehell65, TripAdvisor, September 2018
The Lodge Host provides an invaluable source of information on the resort and the surrounding region.
At Valhalla: To offer you the best possible holiday experience, we choose to share the hosting between our experienced Lodge Manager, the owner family and our Lodge Staff. By having a variety of hosts you will be able to access a wider knowledge base with different perspectives. Some of us are skiers, some are boarders and some enjoy cross country skiing. When the family is in, we will typically join you for cheese platter, dinner and breakfast. Our staff are always approachable. Our hosting team will more than happily give you local advice on where to ski given the conditions presented on the day - just ask us!
"Third stay at Valhalla. Love it here as always. Great food and great hosts. Looking forward to going back next time." Mark and Sue July 2018
Unlike apartment style accommodation, there are no cooking facilities in the bedrooms. Instead hearty meals are prepared and served by the Lodge Cook and Lodge Staff. Mealtimes are a relaxed, friendly and social experience. Lodges commonly include breakfast or half board (bed, breakfast, dinner) in their tariffs.
At Valhalla: we include half board in our winter packages plus an après ski cheese platter. Summer packages include full board.
"Outstanding service from staff. Beautiful and cosy place to stay. Thank you guys so much. Thank you Amanda for delicious meals." Rossana and Peter June 2018
When we refurbished our rooms, we took the time to look closely at feedback from our repeat guests. We then made the conscious decision to stay true to lodge style accommodation. We have kept our guestrooms simple stylish havens, uncluttered and without the modern day distraction of TV. We have not installed bunk beds, all rooms are either 1 x king bed or 2 x long singles. We have a total of 12 guestrooms, each with ensuite.
"If you love snow and Perisher then this is the place you will want to stay. I have stayed at lots of lodges in Perisher and this is by far the most comfortable lodge I have stayed at." - Shnilly, August 17
