Unique Family Friendly Lodge
At Valhalla there is no restricted bar area nor pumping noisy bar, no public patrons nor walk through traffic. We're a private guest only lodge and kids are welcome in all of our common areas. We can take infants by request but with our room configurations and split level lodge, we're better suited for families with older kids. (4y+).
Special Kids Dinner
Kids 11 years and younger eat dinner at the early 6pm child sitting. Kids love this quick meal session followed by unwinding in the tv/games room, playing ping pong, a board game or watching a movie. while parents enjoy a relaxed gourmet dining experience at 7pm. Parents can sit with their kids while they are eating and older kids can opt to join the kids meal by prior arrangement. See More about dining.

Two interconnecting guestrooms, each with own ensuite.
Usually set as 1 x king in the first room and 2 x twin beds in the second room.
Bedding configuration can be changed, however a change over fee may apply.
Subject to availability and total lodge capacity at the time of reservation, 1 child's rollaway can be added to each room to accommodate a maximum of 6 persons. Extra person fees will apply.

Oh what fun you will have on your family snow holiday! Our on snow location is perfect for your family to enjoy a fun snow experience.
Step outside the lodge to build snowmen, make snow sculptures and have snowball fights. Take the kids on a family fun, guided or non-guided snowshoe adventure (no experience needed). Go tobogganing or try cross country skiing, snowboarding or snow skiing. Step back inside the lodge for a table tennis rally or to play board games while we prepare delicious meals for your family.
First Time Skiers / Boarders / Cross Country Skiers: If your kids are keen to try snowsports we recommend booking them in for lessons so they learn to ski or board safely and with the newest techniques.
Getting to Perisher Ski Resort: If you can't ski out to get to the slopes you have two options:
1. take an oversnow taxi - 4Site will have you at the footbridge with minimum fuss. You should pre-book your transfer, especially if you are meeting lessons.
2. walk - it's about a 10 minute downhill walk and you will need après boots / waterproof shoes. It might be an idea to hire a locker in the Perisher Centre so you don't have to carry all the kids gear too.
Getting Back Home to Valhalla: This is easy and stress free with complimentary after ski oversnow transfer between 3:30pm - 5:00pm daily (excluding arrival and departure days when we offer a transfer with luggage). If you wish to come back outside of these times, you can use your voucher and pay any difference directly to 4Site.
Getting to the Cross Country Trails: The Perisher Nordic Shelter is located about 200m from our lodge, it is easy to walk there for cross country lessons. Cross country tracks are also located at the back of our lodge.

All kids programs are popular and at risk of booking out, particularly in school holidays / peak periods so it is advisable to book ahead.
Beginner to Advanced: Perisher has snowsports programs in place for kids and adults of all abilities.
Private and Group Lessons: are available through Perisher Resort. Our closest ski school location is Perisher, though Smiggins can be accessed by a complimentary shuttle bus and Blue Cow by the skitube.
Babysitting: Daytime and evening babysitting is available year round with Billy Button Babysitting or Kozzi Kids Babysitting. Babysitters will come to Valhalla to sit up to 4 kids per carer.
Cross country: Lessons can be arranged through two operators in Perisher; Wilderness Sports and K7 Adventures.

Stay On Snow at Perisher: It pays to stay on snow when competing in Perisher Interschools Snowsports competitions. Sometimes events can run as early as 8am or as late as 6pm so staying on mountain means you won't have the added stress of getting up to Perisher early in the morning or travelling back down the mountain after dark.
Perisher Snowsports Training: Specific training sessions, camps and programs for Interschools Snowsports are available through Perisher.
Getting to Perisher Snowsports Events: If snow conditions allow, we are a 2minute downhill ski to the Perisher Centre Footbridge which offers access to Perisher's Front Valley and the Village 8. If snow conditions are unfavourable then we are a 10 minute downhill walk to the footbridge or you can opt to book a 4Site oversnow taxi at own expense. To get back home with ease we include an after ski transfer coupon per person daily for use with 4Site oversnow between 3:30pm - 5:00pm. If you wish to come back outside of these times you can walk (about 10-15minutes) or use your skier coupon towards a 4Site oversnow taxi.
For Cross Country Skiers we are very conveniently located diagonally across from the Perisher Nordic Shelter and starting area. It's approximately 200m.
