Kosciuszko National Park Accommodation
Valhalla Lodge is located within the spectacular Kosciuszko National Park, the largest National Park in NSW. It covers over 670,000 hectares and is home to the famous Snowy River, the NSW ski fields, spectacular caves and gorges and the highest mountain on the Australian mainland, Mount Kosciuszko. Base yourself at Valhalla, we have the perfect Kosciuszko location. Quiet, private, central. In summer explore the park on foot or by bike. Climb to the top of Australia, explore lakes and valleys full of wildflowers. In winter, ski or snowboard at Australia's largest resort or cross country ski or snow shoe.
Kosciuszko National Park is listed as a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve and is internationally recognised for its significant natural heritage. The alpine and sub-alpine areas have plant species that are found nowhere else in the world. Kosciuszko is home to many native animals including kangaroos, emus and the rare mountain pygmy possum and corroboree frog. Park entry and overnight fees are applicable to all park visitors but these are in included in the Skitube tariff for winter visitors.
Winter Parking and Getting Here
We're usually snowbound for most of the ski season so our overnight parking is at Bullocks Flat Ski Tube Terminal. Whether you plan to fly, drive or take the bus, please refer to our information for full details on getting to Perisher Valley. Snow season runs from June Long Weekend through October Long Weekend.
Summer Parking and Getting Here
Summer season runs between the end of the October Long Weekend and the start of June Long Weekend. During summer season, you can drive up to Perisher Valley. We have limited parking at our lodge for in house guests. Overflow parking is available at the Perisher Car Park. National Park entry and overnight fees are payable upon park entry. Please note that it can snow here are anytime of year and chains may be required outside of snow season. Transfer and tour companies also operate private and bus transfers to our lodge, transport to walks and other activities, plus guided tours etc. Please contact us if you require details.
